The RoleAs a Primary Therapist at Alsana, you will provideconsultation, case management and therapy on complex cases toindividuals who have and are affected by serious eating disorders.
You will assess clients, determine referral needs, provide grouptherapy, family therapy and group education and formulate andimplement treatment plans. ResponsibilitiesPerforms, interprets,and provides feedback to clients on various assessments relevant toeating disorder treatment (e.g., psychosocial assessment, suiciderisk assessment, core assessment packet)Provides individual therapysessions for clients, utilizing appropriate interventions adaptedto the needs of the client.
Completes appropriate and thoroughdocumentation within established time frames, including progressnotes for individual and family sessions, weekly therapyassessments, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
Communicateswith outpatient team to provide updates on client progress and toprovide continuity of care.
Attends weekly training andindividual/group supervisions as assigned.
Assists direct care inproviding observations for clients, managing milieu conflict, andsupporting clients.
Participates in meals and snacks with clients asassigned.
Provides crisis stabilization for clients in the milieuwho may become de-escalated at times.
Provides check-ins withclients as needed based on the needs of the client and theappropriateness of the check-in.
Provides on-call coverage duringassigned times.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
QualificationsMasters degree in social work, Clinical Counseling,or other relevant health related discipline (ALC, PLPC, LMSW, LCSW,LPC, PhD)Two years recent related experience working with eatingdisordered clients or an equivalent combination of education,training and experience.
Eligible for registration with relevantprofessional associationAbility to educate and provide consultationto clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
