About Us Lumina Counseling & Wellness is a boutique DBT specialty practice in Coral Gables-South Miami, founded and led by Dr. Maribel Gonzalez, a DBT-Linehan Board Certified Clinician. Since 2019, we’ve supported teens, young adults, and families navigating overwhelming emotions, impulsive behaviors, relationship conflict, and the chaos of feeling out of control. Our mission is to restore hope and help our clients reconnect with their strengths, relationships, and sense of purpose. We’re expanding and looking for a compassionate, driven Psychotherapist to join our dedicated team. About the Role This is a 1099 contractor position with flexible hours, ideal for a therapist passionate about working with teens and young adults . You’ll provide full-model DBT services, including individual and family therapy, skills groups, phone coaching, and participation in our weekly consultation team. We provide comprehensive DBT training and supervision at no cost to you , so you can focus on deepening your skills and making a meaningful impact. What You’ll Do Provide individual therapy using the DBT framework, primarily to teens and young adults Support families and parents as part of the treatment process Facilitate or co-lead DBT skills training groups (teens, young adults, and/or parents) Offer phone coaching support to clients between sessions Participate in weekly DBT consultation team meetings Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation Engage in ongoing clinical development and team collaboration What We’re Looking For Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field Active Florida clinical license (LMHC, LCSW, PsyD, PhD, or LMFT) Foundation in CBT and willingness to learn full-model DBT Passion for working with adolescents and young adults with complex emotional needs Growth-oriented, collaborative mindset Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus Evening availability at least 2 nights per week (until 7pm) Why Join Lumina?
