Mental Health Specialist J&J Impact Counseling LLC Shreveport, LA
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide outpatient PSR to individuals in clients home, school and community settings
- Be able to render clinical services according to assigned treatment plan and clinical necessities /implement individual treatment plans with clients
- Provide consultation services to area and community agencies when requested
- Document all professional client contacts in electronic health record (Sharenote) with the appropriate degree of detail to meet insurance, legal and clinical standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary case staff meetings
- Maintain positive working relationships
- Maintains ethical boundaries according to licensure standards
- Adhere to supervision requirements
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in “on call” services according to normal staff rotation schedule.
- Other job related duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Bachelor degree in social work, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, secondary education, or counseling.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AND
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Able to compose and record professional quality progress notes in a timely fashion electronically
- Able to attend, respond, validate, and support therapy client
- Able to converse and interact sufficiently to effectively communicate and record information proficiently
- Able to maintain the confidentiality of interactions with clients and colleagues
- Able to interact with people using a non-judgmental stance
- Able to handle sensitive situations in a calm, professional manner
- Flexible and able to prioritize workload
- Able to provide client-oriented services at or above the agency’s expected productivity level
- Philosophical approach consistent with the agency’s mission
- Able to provide best practices that are evidenced based. Prospective employees
- Must have access to personal computer and/or laptop, have reliable transportation, successfully pass state background check, drug screen, TB screening, First Aid/CPR, and submit college transcripts.
