) The Judge Rotenberg Educational Center Inc. (JRC) is a dayand residential school located in Canton, Massachusetts licensed toserve ages five through adult. Since 1971, JRC has provided veryeffective education and treatment to both emotionally disturbed studentswith conduct, behavior, emotional, and/or psychiatric problems, as wellas those with intellectual disabilities or on the autism spectrum. Wecurrently seek Full time direct care workers for entry level andsupervisory positions. The direct care, entry-level positions areresponsible for a variety of duties relating to and primarily concernedwith implementing the students’ treatment and educational programs.

Direct care individuals provide services/interventions that supportskill development and mastery for students/clients within JRC’s schooland residential components. They also maintain a safe environment forstudents/clients to thrive academically, while providing consistenttreatment that leads to reduction of problem behaviors. This positionaffords a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience with andknowledge of the current methods for treating those on the autismspectrum or those with conduct disorders or psychiatric issues. It is anhourly non-exempt position. Hours of work are assigned on a weekly basisand can be comprised of any day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts.

Hours of work may also be a combination of shifts (1 st 2nd and 3 rdshifts) where working straight through multiple days to minimize thetravel back and forth to work. This Direct Care position leads toadvancement opportunities within JRC. Applications are accepted on awalk-in basis, Monday-Friday 9am-4pm; we also conduct interviews on thesame day as applications.
