Monarch NC, a provider of high-quality and trauma-informed care for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance use disorders, is seeking a dedicated Therapist to join our MORES team in Pittsboro, NC.MORES is a team-based crisis intervention for children and adolescents ages 3-21 experiencing emotional and/or behavioral needs. MORES provides up to four weeks of follow-up services for youth who have experienced a behavioral health crisis.

  • There is a $5,000 sign on bonus for this position!
  • As a Therapist, you will work directly with the youth and families to assist in safety planning, crisis stabilization, and establishing groundwork for family and community relationships.

You will provide appropriate screening, early identification, and assessment of suicide risk, trauma exposure, substance use, and exposure to and risk of violence, eating disorders and other clinical presentations. You will also assess and continue to assess the youths acuity level based on relevant clinical features such as risk of harm to self and/or others, mental status, diagnosis, risk level, overall level of functioning, behavioral history, and any other relevant information.

  • To qualify, candidates must have one of the following combinations of education and experience (please read carefully):
  • Candidates must be a North Carolina Qualified Professional (QP) A North Carolina QP will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree (non-Human Services) with 4 years or Full time OR 8 years of Part time applicable experience required, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree (Human Services) with 2 years of Full time OR 4 years of Part time applicable experience required, OR
  • Master’s degree (Human Services) with 1 year of Full time OR 2 years Part time applicable experience required.“`{=html}“
  • Candidates must have one of the following North Carolina licenses: LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT or LP.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with people with a mental health and/or substance use disorder diagnosis.
