MST Therapist / Qualified Professional (QP)

Job Description:

Amethyst seeks a full-time mental health therapist to provide family- and community-based therapy in its Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) program. Treatment targets youth ages 12 to 17 that display serious antisocial behaviors and are at-risk of placement out of the home. Our MST program addresses the multiple inter-related influences, including individual, family, peer group, and community factors that contribute to serious behavior problems.

Responsibilities:

Manages a caseload of 4-5 families, including providing direct care to each family at least three times per week. Develops individualized treatment plans for each case. Ongoing assessments and reviews of treatment progress are performed on a regular basis. Maintains high accessibility to clients. Commits to non-traditional, but flexible schedule based around clients’ availability. Available to provide periodic on-call 24-hour coverage. Provide clear, timely, and specific documentation of all sessions. Actively engages in individual and group clinical supervision specific to MST duties as well as overall professional development. Develops strong community relationships and resources with which to provide families as part of treatment.

Job Requirements:

Master’s degree in the social services field with one year experience in clinical counseling preferred. (LCSWA, LSCW, or

LPCA, LPC

is a plus). Experience providing family therapy or providing MST services is a major plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong writing skills Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Bi-lingual (Spanish Speaking) Therapist is a major plus
