Problem Sexual Behavior Blended Program Job Description:
Amethyst seeks a full-time Qualified Professional to provide family
- and community-based therapy in its Multi-Systemic Therapy
- Problem Sexual Behavior (MST-PSB) program.
Treatment targets youth ages 12 to 17 that display serious antisocial behaviors and/or problem sexual behaviors and are at-risk of placement out of the home. The prospective therapist would serve families living in Montgomery, Moore, Lee, Harnett, Hoke, Richard, and Anson counties of North Carolina.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Manages a community-based caseload of up to 4-5 families, including providing direct care to each family at least 3-4 times per week. Develops individualized treatment plans for each case. Ongoing assessments and reviews of treatment progress are performed on a regular basis with specific problem-solving process to develop interventions. Engages caregivers in intensive, action-oriented treatment by aligning on treatment goals and identifying and overcoming any barriers to engagement. Commits to non-traditional, but flexible schedule based around clients’ availability. Engages all key stakeholders to ensure participation by obtaining alignment on treatment goals and collaborating on advances and barriers towards goal on a weekly basis. Available to provide periodic on-call 24-hour coverage to families by taking crisis calls and/or scheduling emergency sessions based on crisis and need. Maintains clear, concise and timely documentation of all clinical session efforts that promote peer, supervisory and consultant review and feedback. Actively participate in all required training, supervision, consultation and clinician development planning by attending quarterly trainings, weekly supervision and consultation, and developing and following through on monthly clinician development plans. Develops strong community relationships and resources with which to provide families as part of treatment. Meets clinical coverage expectation requirements per family need and agency expectations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Master’s degree in the social services field with one-year experience in clinical counseling preferred. (LCSWA, LSCW, or
LPCA, LPC
is a plus). Qualified Professional with Bachelor’s degree in a human service field with two years of full-time, post graduate mental health experience will be considered.
