Mental Health Therapist New Hope Behavioral Services 605 West Noble Street, Selma, NC 27576 Job Overview Active license in NC-required In Person & Telehealth available Paid per hour of therapy billed 1099 Employee Willing to recruit in Johnston County Associate level may apply! We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical counseling and a passion for helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges. This role involves providing therapeutic support to clients, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote healing and personal growth. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients’ mental health needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical best practices. Provide therapy sessions using techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Group Therapy. Manage crisis situations effectively, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients. Offer specialized care for conditions such as PTSD and addiction counseling. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with ICD-10 standards. Engage in ongoing research to stay current with developments in mental health treatment methodologies. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients, including those requiring support for children. Collaborate with Johnston County Schools to identify potential clients Telehealth with clients Perform therapy on site Qualifications Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field is required. Valid state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist or equivalent certification. Experience working with children is highly desirable. Proficiency in crisis management techniques and clinical counseling practices. Familiarity with evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
