Job Description

ABA Behavior Therapist 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Rockville Centre, NY 11570 We are an Applied Behavior Analytics agency that was founded ten years ago, in 2015, by the joint efforts of dedicated Board-Certified Behavior Analysts and Licensed Clinical Social Workers. We have a successful history of supporting children with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families with direct, in-home/in-community ABA therapeutic services. Our approach uses the principles and practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to mentor and support these children towards increasing their communication, adaptability, resilience, and independence. Presently, we are seeking ABA Behavioral Technicians (BTs) to join our network of dedicated ABA professionals, to provide direct ABA services to children with ASD. What we offer to our

Board-Certified Behavior Analysts Behavior Technician Tasks:

Measure, assess, and document skill acquisition of student’s progress on the Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) 1:1 Goal-oriented, in home, direct service work with a student involving implementation of ABA approaches including but not limited to discrete trial teaching, prompting, modeling, redirection, reinforcements, and reward-systems. Thorough and comprehensive session-to-session documentation, data analysis, and billing. Actively engaging with clinical direction and professional feedback from BCBA supervisor(s) Communicate effectively and respectfully with clients or students, caregivers, supervisors, and coworkers We are Behavior Technicians who will have a strong Commitment and dedication to one of our clients will help the student and their family towards continued success with throughout their school-aged life transitions. We need Behavior Technicians who are thoughtful, engaging, and passionate with their interactions with students, caregivers, supervisors, and colleagues, alike. The Qualifications of a Behavior technician: Helpful areas of study: Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, psychology, special education, or related field of study

Helpful:

Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certificate from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board Strong stakeholder communication skills required Ability to be adaptable under high-stress situations Exhibits professional administrative reliability: punctuality and responsiveness Proven experience working with pre-school and elementary school-aged children in the Special Education community Additional evidence of successful work with patients suffering from Autism and development issues Other experience, certificates, or qualifications as required by NY State.
