Our Brands Responsibilities:
The School-Based Therapist provides therapeutic services tochildren and adolescents primarily in school settings, but may alsoprovide services in community or outpatient settings. The therapistwill address emotional, behavioral, and mental health issues toenhance students’ overall functioning in school, home, andcommunity environments. This role includes providing individual,group, and family therapy, coordinating with schools and communityresources, and maintaining accurate documentation. This role willcollaborate with educational staff to support students’ needs andcontribute to the development and execution of individualizedtreatment plans.
You will:
Perform comprehensive biopsychosocialassessments to determine individuals’ needs and appropriateinterventions. Utilize standardized assessment tools and techniquesto gather relevant information. Create individualized treatmentplans in collaboration with individuals, families, and thetreatment team. Set measurable goals and objectives tailored toindividuals’ needs. Deliver therapeutic interventions inindividual, group, and family therapy sessions. Implementtherapeutic techniques to address various mental health issues,such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Actas a liaison between the school, families, and community resources,ensuring a comprehensive treatment approach. Actively engage inschool and community outreach efforts to promote mental healthawareness and maintain caseloads. Provide consistent andcomprehensive services to all assigned individuals on yourcaseload. Ensure regular contact and follow-up with individuals tomonitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Accurately document all client interactions, treatment plans,progress notes, and other required documentation within establishedtimeframes per company policy. Ensure compliance with allregulatory and organizational standards. Work closely with otherprofessionals as a multidisciplinary treatment team, to provideholistic care. Participate in regular treatment team meetings todiscuss progress and treatment strategies of individuals served.
Provide immediate support and intervention during crisissituations. Develop safety plans and coordinate with emergencyservices when necessary. Connect individuals and families withadditional resources and support services as needed. Stay currentwith best practices, new treatment modalities, and emerging trendsin mental health therapy. Participate in ongoing training,workshops, and professional development opportunities. As alicensed clinician working for Health Connect America your NPInumber will be used to bill for services performed by those beingsupervised by you. As a licensed clinician you will be responsiblefor ensuring that your credentials remain current, you comply withall training requirements, and you are adequately supervising yourstaff. Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and otherstakeholders to address inquiries, disseminate information, andresolve complaints or concerns.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree inSocial Work, Counseling, or a related field is required. Minimum oftwo years’ experience working with children and/or families, whichmay include internships. Must be eligible for professionallicensure in the state of Georgia as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
