$ 25.31-39.36 USD Western Psychiatric Hospital is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team at Bellefield Towers (Oakland)! Bellefield Towers’ Adult Services Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) addresses the needs of those receiving treatment for bipolar disorder, eating disorders, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, and depression. The intensive outpatient program offers you an opportunity to learn and practice DBT skills while working with a diverse population. Clinicians will learn how to effectively manage and treat challenging and complex therapy cases. This position will help clinicians develop and refine their skills with conducting lethality screenings, safety planning, treatment planning, documentation, facilitating psychoeducational group therapy, and discharge planning. We have a variety of different IOP groups that offer more opportunity to work with a specialized population. This position will work in Bellefield Towers, Monday

  • Friday, 9am to 5pm in Oakland. Our Behavioral Health Therapist is eligible for a Sign on Bonus!! 1-year work commitment

Responsibilities:

Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement efforts.
Completes same-day clinical documentation and supports insurance authorization processes.
Regularly reviews patient cases and collaborates with supervisors and clinical staff.
Assesses and updates treatment plans based on patients’ changing needs.
Conducts initial assessments under supervision and applies treatment models effectively.
Provides individual and group therapy, involving families and educating patients on recovery.
Maintains thorough documentation of all clinical activities.
Coordinates with the clinical team to recommend additional services or referrals.
Attends treatment team meetings to review progress and plan continuing care.
Tracks daily clinical productivity.
Develops comprehensive treatment plans tailored to diverse patient needs.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education in school counseling, or related field required. (Successfully completed the educational requirements as defined in practicing state’s code)

COPY OF YOUR GRADUATE-LEVEL TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE ATTACHED FOR CONSIDERATION.

One year of clinical experience preferred. Knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and assessment process, as well as application of current version of the DSM preferred. Experience in diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions preferred. Comfortable working in person and virtual.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

Passed the examination required by 49.11. relating to licensure examination. Must sign a license agreement and be actively working to obtain the Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW), or Licensed Family Marriage Therapist (LMFT) within 30 months of hire. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
