The Mental Health Worker is a member of a multidisciplinary team. The Mental Health Worker serves as co-team leader and is responsible for providing team and individually delivered therapy and case management to children and their families in the home and/or community. This position is required to work hours that coincide with client schedules, including day, evening, and/or weekend hours.
We are seeking Mental Health Workers for our Family Based Programs. We promote teamwork, offer supervision towards licensure, provide training through the Philadelphia Child and Family Therapy Training Center toward the Eco-systemic Structural Family Therapy Model certification, and a stay bonus of $1,000 applied through the first 12 months of employment.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Theology, Anthropology, or any bachelor’s degree in Human Services.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a CASSP (Children & Adolescent Social Service Program) System Program.
Required Licenses/Certification:
Valid State Driver’s License Essential Physical and Sensory Requirements-With or without the aid of mechanical devices
Light:
Regularly required to lift 10 lbs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs. Must be able to pull minimum of 10 lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing, and lifting. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
Meeting Basic Work Expectations
Complies with basic job requirements and tasks; arrives at work on time as scheduled; proactively informs others when he/she encounters problems that may limit his/her ability to meet expectations. Provide team (60%) and individually (40%) delivered therapy to children/adolescents and their families in the home and/or the community. Works collaboratively with lead therapist to assure all client and family treatment needs are met. Utilize safe Proact techniques as deemed appropriate related to de escalation Document treatment data/results that are clinically relevant on progress notes and submit in a timely manner (within 24 hours of each encounter). Complete client intake paperwork per company/program guidelines and regulations Complete recurrent assessments within the regulated timeframes Assist the Mental Health Professional with development of a treatment plans and assuring they are being done timely in relation to regulated time frames. Assist/participate in client psychiatric evaluations and medication checks. Collaborate with other providers to secure appropriate aftercare/discharge services and community linkages supports during treatment. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and other miscellaneous meetings, as necessary. Adheres to HIPAA privacy regulations and Department of Human Services/CASSP principal guidelines. Adheres to Mandated Reporter protocol and effectively communicates concerns with program management. Work collaboratively with members of the treatment team and other service providers to ensure comprehensive case management.
Training/supervision:
Attend trainings and conferences as directed by supervisor, in accordance with company policy, and pursuant to applicable regulations. Attend required supervision sessions and staff meetings in accordance with program/company requirements. Participated in 3-year Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy training program through Philadelphia Child and Family Training Center Work skills Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with child, parent/guardian, treatment team members, and other personnel involved in child’s treatment. Must possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with children, families, and staff from a variety of cultures and social backgrounds. Must have knowledge of various therapy techniques and counseling strategies applicable to serving complex family systems. Must have knowledge of child development and common behavioral disorders exhibited by children and adolescents. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must display professional attitude. Must display empathy, active listening skills, critical thinking/problem solving skills Pre-employment screening:
