$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for External Candidates Optum BehavioralCare, part of the Optum family of businesses is seeking a MentalHealth Therapist to join our team in Oak Ridge/Fort Sanders TN.Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the wayclinicians work and live. As a member of the Optum Behavioral CareTeam, you’ll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcarebetter for everyone. The therapist is responsible for providingdirect clinical services to patients in the Collaborative CareModel (CoCM) in a primary care clinic, and will operate inconjunction with Optum Behavioral Care (OBC) to serve as the coremember of the hybrid in-person/virtual collaborative care team forOBC clients. In this cutting-edge team the therapist will interfacebetween patients, PCPs, and psychiatrists to support the mentalhealth and physical health care of patients on an assigned patientcaseload from OBC clients. The therapist will have the support ofOBC’s clinical and operational teams. This role will be embedded within our healthcareclient Summit Medical Group, and is a Monday-Friday role, with noevenings, weekends, holidays. As part of this hybrid role, you willoccasionally need to make on-site visits to the clinic. PositionHighlights & Primary Responsibilities:
  • Use virtual and in-personmodalities to coordinate care with the patient’s medical providerand, when appropriate, other mental health providers
  • Screen andassess patients for common mental health and substance abusedisorders
  • Systematically track treatment response and monitorpatients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment sideeffects or complications
  • Support psychotropic medicationmanagement as prescribed by medical providers, focusing ontreatment adherence monitoring, side effects, and effectiveness oftreatment
  • Provide brief behavioral interventions usingevidence-based techniques such as behavioral activation,problem-solving treatment, motivational interviewing, or othertreatments as appropriate
  • Participate in regularly scheduledcaseload consultation with the psychiatric consultant andcommunicate resulting treatment recommendations to the patient’smedical provider
  • Develop and complete relapse preventionself-management plan with patients who have achieved theirtreatment goals and are soon to be discharged from the caseloadYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in anenvironment that will challenge you and give you clear direction onwhat it takes to succeed in your role as well as providedevelopment for other roles you may be interested in.
RequiredQualifications:
  • Meet one of the following license requirementsfor the state of
Tennessee:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LCSW) , Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed AdvancedPractice Social Worker (LAPSW)
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor(LMHC)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor
  • MHSP ( LPC-MHSP) orLicensed Professional Counselor
  • MHSP-Temporary (LPC-MHSP/T)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Maritaland Family Therapist
  • Temporary (LMFT/T)
  • 3 years of experiencetreating patients with behavioral health conditions
  • 1 years ofexperience working in primary care or other medical behavioralintegrated setting (i.e., with other provider types)
  • Experiencewith assessment and using evidence-based psychosocial treatmentsand brief behavioral interventions for common mental healthdisorders (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy, motivationalinterviewing, problem-solving treatment, behavioral activation
  • Currently eligible to be enrolled as a provider in the Medicareprogram or able to terminate opt-out (if applicable) prior tostarting a new position
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience inthe Collaborative Care Model (CoCM)
  • Demonstrated experience beingdetail-oriented, organized, and have exceptional follow-upcapabilities
  • Proven ability to maintain effective andprofessional relationships with patient and other members of thecare team
  • Proven ability to work with patients in person as wellas by telephone and video

The salary for this role will range from$58,800 to $105,000 annually based on full-time employment. Wecomply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
