Job Summary:
Performs functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individualized care for patients while incorporating current clinical knowledge with established practice. Supports organization, vision, mission and strategic plan. Supports nutritional program, services, and systems necessary to meet needs of patients as well as regulatory agencies.
Education:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional dieticians and currently licensed in the state of Alabama. Current certification with NCDBE as certified diabetes educator. Maintains certification status according to NCDBE guidelines.
Experience:
2 years’ experience as CDE. Management experience preferred. Hospital orientation, unit orientation and passing medication test required.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Possess excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with guests.
Required:
Proficient oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
