Contract We are currently seeking an experienced American Heart Association BLS Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching Basic Life Support (BLS) courses to healthcare providers and lay rescuers, as well as conducting skills evaluations and providing feedback to participants.
Responsibilities:
Teach BLS courses to healthcare providers and lay rescuers, following the American Heart Association guidelines and standards. Facilitate student learning by using effective teaching strategies, providing feedback, and promoting critical thinking. Maintain accurate and complete student records, including attendance, evaluation results, and course documentation. Stay up-to-date with the latest AHA guidelines and standards. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure the smooth operation of courses and classes. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
Current American Heart Association BLS Instructor certification (copy of current AHA BLS certification & secondary alignment required). Strong knowledge of CPRAED First Aid techniques and protocols. Required to have computer skills. Experience teaching CPRAED First Aid courses to healthcare providers and lay rescuers (preferred). Access to manikins & AED trainers (preferred). Required to work evenings and weekends. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Access to reliable transportation to travel to teaching locations.
