Activity Coordinator Bilingual in English and Spanish (part of Humana) 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Homestead, FL 33030 Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Activity Coordinator develops, implements and delivers daily wellness activities that take place at the Wellness Center. The Activity Coordinator will also act as liaison between medical center staff, patients, community guests and professional visitors that may provide services for the Wellness Program. Perform daily wellness program activities. Provide patients with information regarding benefits and activities of the Wellness Center. Arrange for transportation for patients attending the Wellness Center as needed. Assist in other Company events as needed. Ensure necessary inventory of items that are needed at the Wellness Center are there. The Activity Coordinator schedules the Wellness Center meeting rooms and fitness rooms for pre-programmed classes, activities and/or events. Plans, promotes and coordinates programs to provide members with a variety fitness activities. Responsible for greeting patients, verifying insurance coverage and eligibility, reviewing new patient registration, and entering new patient information into the computer system at an outpatient care site. Decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities and timing, and works under close supervision and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation. Has the ability to develop, implement and deliver wellness program events with creativity Has excellent communication, customer service and telephone skills. Has strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task effectively. Is detail oriented and able to work efficiently in a stressful environment. Must be able to perform daily procedures, meeting high quality standards and using his/her independent judgment following standards and regulations. Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with patients. Has the ability to effectively relate with medical staff, peers, managers, patients and other associates. Is able to respect and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Must be able to follow policies and procedures and work flexible schedule and location. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year in a previous administrative role Strong attention to detail Bilingual English/Spanish-fluent levels in both Experience in Community health outreach programs Knowledge of standardized processes within Medical center operations Ability to work independently under general instructions and with a team Valid driver license and dependable transportation is necessary Computer skills -including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
