Job Description

Mental Health Coach Charis Eating Disorder Care 87616 Roses Bluff Road, Yulee, FL 32097 POSITION SUMMARY The Mental Health Coach works in support of the multidisciplinary treatment team under the direction of the Clinical Director to execute the goals of the patients’ individual treatment plans and help sustain the appropriate environment of care.

Full-Time Day Shift, Wednesday-Sunday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS

HS Diploma Preferred knowledge and experience in the field of eating disorders treatment Preferred knowledge of counseling practices Excellent driving record Preferred coursework in mental health/human services field

SKILLS:

Effectively convey the mission of Charis Eating Disorder Care, the purpose of Charis Eating Disorder Care’s ministry, and the importance of biblically-based treatment for eating disorders Appropriately respond to inquiries about the nature of Charis Eating Disorder Care’s mission Ability to network, collaborate, and train prospective patients and families, other organizations, the public (awareness), and professionals Ability to model a biblically-based, Christ-centered lifestyle, on and off campus, providing an example to patients, families, staff, public, and professionals Ability to organize tasks by priority and multitask efficiently Effective communicator in verbal and written forms Ability to work in a team environment, toward the goals of the team Ability to multitask effectively, self-motivated Commitment to a standard of excellence, presenting Charis Eating Disorder Care in a polished, professional, and Christ-honoring manner Complete admissions procedures as needed under the direction of the Clinical Director and/or Director of Admissions according to Charis Eating Disorder Care Policies and Procedures Provide accountability and instruction to patients concerning their care and treatment, as appropriate, when clinical staff is not present Assist with group therapies, as directed by the Clinical Director Coordinate with the Clinical Director the planning and implementation of patient schedules and support Provide daily meal and snack support for patients in coordination with Dietetic Technicians and Registered Dietitian Assist patients in planning and homework completion as necessary Provide updates to the clinical team on patient concerns in a timely fashion Complete all required documentation and reports in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with the policies and procedures of Charis Eating Disorder Care Demonstrate accountability for the proper use of patients’ protected health information Participate in scheduled in-services and other appropriate training activities Utilize supervisory feedback to improve performance Perform other duties as assigned Charis Eating Disorder Care, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is committed to a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment where all board members, staff, volunteers, clients, and members feel respected and valued regardless of race, religion, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, veteran status, or other protected status as required by applicable law.
