Job Description
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Health Educator will provide health education programs to the community, local businesses and BMC/BHS employees in support of the philosophy and objectives of BMC/BHS and with supervision from the Director of Maternal/Child Health.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
(Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
One year successful teaching of adults in health promotion preferred. Two years in health education, nursing or related field required.
Education and Training:
BS in nursing, health education or related field preferred. Certification in specialties preferred.
License, Certification & Registration:
Certification in nationally recognized prepared childbirth education program preferred.
Other Requirements:
Excellent presentation skills. Good organizational skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to relate well to a variety of persons CPR certified
