Req #: 28687 This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. MaineHealth Diabetes Care – Belfast | MaineHealth is searching for a Certified Diabetes Educator. The Certified Diabetes Educator role is responsible for performing nutritional assessments and assessing diabetes educational needs. Plans, implements, and evaluates nutritional plans and diabetes education for patients with diabetes and their family in individual and group settings. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in nutrition required.
License/Certifications:
Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Dietitian required. Current applicable state(s) license as a Diabetes Educator required or in process of achieving certification. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Valid driver’s license may be required.
Experience:
Two years of experience as a practicing dietitian required. One year of experience in individual nutritional counseling preferred.
