Wellness Coach 2.5 2.5 out of 5 stars 10000 Cambridge Village Loop, Apex, NC 27502 JOB SUMMARY This position supports the Optimal Living™ philosophy and the seven dimensions of wellness (physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, social, environmental, and occupational). The Wellness Coach assists in supporting and developing a healthy, activity-enriched lifestyle for residents, staff and the community at large. Assists with the coordination and planning of fitness and wellness programs and activities for residents and staff. Examples include (but not limited to) group exercise classes, personal training, health seminars and special events. Demonstrates a commitment to customer service, dedication to professionalism, organizational excellence and success through teamwork.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties as assigned. Supports the Wellness Director with orientations and assessments. Recruits and retains group exercise members. Teaches group fitness classes and leads personal training sessions. Collaborates on the development of class schedules and ensures the exercise areas and equipment are in proper order. Greets and assists residents with information regarding classes and equipment. Answers the telephone in a professional manner; directs calls to appropriate individuals, and/or takes messages.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
Holds current group exercise and personal training certifications and/or holds a degree in an exercise-related field of study. Exceptional customer service skills and telephone etiquette. Proficient in use of a personal computer to include e-mail, Internet and Microsoft Office. Enjoys working with Senior Adults

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT
Works in normal office environment, employee may be required to sit, bend, stoop, use keyboard, see, speak, and hear.
