SUMMARY
The Wellness Teacher will play a critical role in promoting physical,mental, and social well being among our students . Candidates must hold a valid license as a health educator (0801) or a statement of eligibility in this area.
Develop and implement engaging health education lessons and activities that align with state standards, promote positive health behaviors and address the developmental needs of middle school students.
Teach topics related to personal health, nutrition, physical fitness, mental health, substance abuse prevention, disease prevention, human growth and development and healthy relationships in an age appropriate and culturally sensitive manner
