About the Department The Diabetes Sales Team leads the US salesefforts for Novo Nordisk’s robust cardiometabolic productportfolio, which includes world class therapies for the treatmentof diabetes, obesity, and the reduction of adverse cardiovascularevents. The Position The Cardiometabolic(CM) Educator is responsible for the delivery of education forrelevant local healthcare providers (HCPs), stakeholders, andinfluencers, including but not limited to practices, health systemscommunity health centers, HCPs and other stakeholders in a givengeography. Utilizing approved clinical resources to supportprovider efforts to deliver appropriate care for patients. Our goalis to provide information as a trusted advisor in care for chronicdiseases through using business ownership and account-centricmindset grounded in our understanding of our customers. Theposition is part of the commercial sales team focused onestablishing Novo Nordisk as the preferred partner in patient carewith a focus on further growth of the therapeutic market. This isnot a clinical patient-facing role. Relationships The CM Educatoris an integral part of the Cardiometabolic commercial team, servingas a trusted partner for cardiometabolic care education. Theyengage with a diverse range of HCPs and local stakeholders toenhance cardiometabolic management across the territory and region.

Additionally, the role involves proactive collaboration withinternal teams such as Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical,Legal, and Compliance, contributing to NNI’s CM Sales organizationand key performance deliverables. Essential Functions Serve as arole model for the Novo Nordisk Way behaviors and actionsPrioritize commercial opportunities and adapting to businesspriorities Educate HCPs to increase product utilization, optimizetreatment, and align with evidence-based medicine and guidelines,while creating awareness of support programs for patients Developtrusted adviser relationships with key stakeholders, presentingapproved educational resources to improve adherence to NNItherapies and educate on the proper use, handling, andadministration of Novo Nordisk products Collaborate with targetedcustomers and accounts to identify appropriate patients,differentiate NNI as a therapeutic leader, and communicateeffectively with field counterparts to leverage collaborativeopportunities Coordinate with sales colleagues to synergizeefforts, present approved NNI educational resources, andcommunicate field insights and customer opportunities with fieldleadership Partner effectively with internal stakeholders, createawareness of treatment pathways, and demonstrate proficiency inexplaining access to NNI products, including virtual engagementsAppropriately utilize budget, resources, and opportunities toexecute the overall strategy, demonstrating an openness to coachingand executing educational program goals within the territoryClinical Addendum

  • Obesity Establish Obesity as a chronic diseaseoften requiring pharmacotherapy Use Standards of Care for ObesityManagement to educate HCPs on appropriate pharmacologic choices forpatient care Support local market opportunities with education andawareness across the ecosystem Work with office staff to pullthrough benefits verification processes Support branded messagingwhen appropriate Educate HCPs on the elevated CV risks associatedwith obesity Clinical Addendum•Diabetes Establish the need totreat diabetes to an appropriate A1C goal Develop awareness on theimportance of protocols to support the treatment of diabetesAppropriately present the Standards of Care for diabetes, includingmanagement of CV risk in patients with type 2 diabetes, to educatehealthcare providers and healthcare institutions on appropriatechoices for patient care Support local market opportunities witheducation and awareness across the ecosystem Educate HCPs on theelevated CV risks associated with type 2 diabetes Support brandedmessaging when appropriate Clinical Addendum•CardiovascularAdvocate for the clinical impact of treating cardiovascular diseaseto achieve appropriate A1C goals and weight Raise awarenessregarding protocols that enhance the treatment of cardiovasculardisease and its associated risks Effectively present the Standardsof Care for cardiovascular disease, highlighting the management ofcardiovascular risk in patients with type 2 diabetes and obesity,to educate healthcare providers and institutions on the bestchoices for patient care Provide support for local marketopportunities by offering education and awareness across thecardiovascular healthcare ecosystem Educate healthcare providers onthe heightened cardiovascular risks linked to type 2 diabetes andobesity and provide support for branded messaging when applicablePhysical Requirements Up to 75-90% travel required; May requireovernight travel.

Driver must maintain a valid driver’s license.

Must be in good standing by not exceeding the Novo Nordisk pointsthreshold assigned based on review of Motor Vehicle Records.

Qualifications A bachelor’s or equivalent degree is required,and/or Pharm D A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experiencerequired; relevant educational experience (i.e. PharmD) or industryexperience can be substituted as appropriate Ideal mix of bothclinical and business experience preferred Intermediate computerskills required (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)Understanding of Healthcare landscape is preferred Excellent verbaland written skills required Ability to work independently in afield-based role is required Prior computer experience using salesdata/call reporting software preferred Bilingual preferred incertain geographic markets Must maintain a valid driver’s licenseThis position is part of a job family. Title and level within thejob family are evaluated based on a number of factors, such asyears of experience, scope of work, proficiency, and business need.

Candidates will be assessed for the most appropriate title andlevel within the job family during the recruitment process. Thebase range of pay for each title in this job family are as follows:

CM Educ I

  • $105,000 to $129,000 CM Educ II
  • $125,000 to $152,000Sr. CM Educ
  • $132,000 to $162,000 In addition, this position iseligible for a company bonus based on individual and companyperformance.
