PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Community Benefit educator will ensure general education and/or certification needs are met during courses and create report with public on injury prevention topics.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must be able to have good communication skills and positive attitude when discussing topics for education to the public. Must be certified in Safe Sitter if teaching Safe Sitter course. Education to be provided through ETCH if needed. Will work closely with Director of Community Benefit for resources and communication needed for events.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide hands-on training to community of trainees Teach proper techniques to adults and children for each injury prevention topic event Excellent communication skills both within organization and in community Represent East Tennessee Children’s Hospital with the up most respect as this is a public facing role. Be able to transport training materials for events. Be able to work with Director of Community Benefit but also independently for events/classes if needed If teaching Safe Sitter must be able to manage trainees during trainings and ensure they are attentive for teachings.
