Job Summary:

Facilitates and teaches American Red Cross courses per the standard as scheduled by the Red Cross Coordinator.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Facilitates ARC courses by setting up blended learning and course records. Teaches ARC courses including Lifeguard, CPR, BLS, Babysitting, and Wilderness First Aid. Knows/reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with UVAC policies, procedures, and the ?safe-in-six? model. Completes related reports as required. Maintains effective, positive relationships with patrons and other staff. Performs equipment checks and ensures appropriate equipment is available as needed. Attends all staff meetings and in-service trainings. Occasionally lead in-service training. Conveys information on aquatics programs and schedules and, as appropriate, refers students and parents to other programs. Maintains records as required. Follows all UVAC policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary. Returns phone calls and answers patron?s questions as needed. Communicates with participants throughout the process. Understand the online registration process to assist participants in completing registration. Other tasks as assigned.
