None Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Information Manager to lead the Health Information Management (HIM) department at a dynamic healthcare facility in Brockton, MA. This is a leadership role focused on compliance, privacy, revenue cycle optimization, and departmental performance. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking professional with strong management experience, HIM credentials, and a passion for healthcare data integrity and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the HIM department with strategic direction in compliance, privacy , and information governance . Manage HIM budget, staffing, performance evaluations, and daily operations, including coding, billing, and data reporting . Oversee discharged not final coded (DNFC) processes and supervise billing operations. Chair the Forms Committee and serve as Medical Staff Secretary . Ensure full compliance with HIPAA , organizational policies, and state/federal regulations. Direct the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures , and job descriptions . Conduct monthly audits of operational workflows (scanning, indexing, analysis, etc.). Serve as Custodian of Records in legal matters and oversee privacy investigations. Act as the primary contact for patient rights processes including access, amendment, and complaints. Deliver Privacy and Compliance training during New Employee Orientation and ensure all workforce members complete annual compliance training. Provide statistical data analysis and consult with departments to fulfill their information needs.
Requirements:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management
- Required Valid RHIA or RHIT certification
- Required CPC (Certified Professional Coder)
- Preferred Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a managerial role within HIM Strong knowledge of HIPAA, compliance programs , and healthcare regulatory standards Proficient in auditing, process improvement , and health information systems Why Join Us?
