The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy, accessibility, and security of patient data while complying with healthcare regulations and standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of medical records and supporting the overall efficiency of our medical office operations.
Local Pay Rate:
$75/hr
Traveler Pay Package and Details Weekly Stipend:
$1,323 ($33.07/hr) Weekly W2
Rate:

Total Gross Weekly:
$3,123 Requirements and Certifications Associate in Science or Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)- REQUIRED Certified Professional Coder Certificate- Preferred 2-3 years experience in Manager position Responsibilities Manage and supervise the health information department, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. Oversee the maintenance, storage, and retrieval of medical records in accordance with established policies. Implement and maintain health information systems to enhance data management processes. Ensure that all medical records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date to support patient care. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper documentation practices are followed. Train and educate staff on medical terminology and record-keeping procedures. Conduct audits of medical records for quality assurance and compliance purposes. Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations affecting health information management. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in a medical office setting with a strong understanding of medical records management. Familiarity with health information systems and electronic health record (EHR) software. Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and staff. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive patient information.
