POSITION SUMMARY

Provides safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Incorporates differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education. Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes. Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development. Will provide care as a team with the nurses such as but not limited to:
Obtaining vital signs
Obtaining Blood Glucose readings
Helping patient with mealtime feedings
Bathing
Patient restroom assistance and cleaning
Ambulation of the patient
Grooming
Lifting, turning, and repositioning of patients in beds and chairs
Blood draws for patient labs
Collaborating with nurses, MDs, and other patient care specialties
Emptying and obtaining wound or surgical drain output
Wound or surgical incision site dressing changes

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education
High School Diploma or 10 years of relevant experience
Minimum Experience
No prior experience is required.
EAH will provide on the job training: medical terminology class, phlebotomy clinical, BLS class, and 1-on-1 training with an MCT in your department.
Required Registration/License/Certification
BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire date. EAH will provide. Preferred Education
