Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (Full Time/Part Time)

Mariarden Road, Dadeville, AL 36853 Tallapoosa EMS is looking to hire full time/part time AEMTs.
- Pay is to be determined based off expereince.
The Advanced EMT performs pre-hospital care in a holistic systematic way, produces quality patient care with optimal patient outcomes. Utilizes State of Alabama Protocols to deliver quality patient care. Incorporates data and information to improve patient care. Performs a comprehensive patient assessment by interpreting multiple, at times conflicting data, and proceeding to give patient care based on findings. Documents patient care activities and relays pertinent patient information to those who have a need to know. Drivers and operates emergency vehicles is a safe manner in accordance to state rules and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls and provide medical assistance to patients
- Assess patients’ conditions and administer appropriate medical treatments
- Safely transport patients to the nearest emergency room or medical facility
- Communicate with dispatchers, healthcare professionals, and other emergency personnel
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment and vehicles
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 or older.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- BLS and EVOC or equivalent, and Valid Driver License required
- Certification as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
