Mariarden Road, Dadeville, AL 36853 Tallapoosa EMS is looking to hire Full Time and Part Time Basic EMTs.

- Full Time benefits available The EMT performs pre-hospital care in a holistic systematic way, produces quality patient care with optimal patient outcomes.
Utilizes State of Alabama Protocols to deliver quality patient care. Incorporates data and information to improve patient care. Performs a comprehensive patient assessment by interpreting multiple, at times conflicting data, and proceeding to give patient care based on findings. Documents patient care activities and relays pertinent patient information to those who have a need to know. Drivers and operates emergency vehicles is a safe manner in accordance to state rules and regulations.
Duties:
- Respond to emergency calls and provide medical assistance to patients in need
- Assess the nature of injuries or illnesses and provide appropriate medical treatment
- Administer medications, perform CPR, and use specialized medical equipment as necessary
- Safely transport patients to medical facilities, such as hospitals or trauma centers
- Communicate with dispatchers, healthcare professionals, and other emergency personnel to coordinate patient care
- Document all medical procedures, treatments, and observations accurately and thoroughly
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Physical stamina and strength to perform heavy lifting and maneuver patients safely
Requirements:
- Must be 21 or older
- Current EMT Certification
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
