Description
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) within a hospital setting provides essential emergency care and support to patients in critical situations.
Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering basic life support, and assisting with advanced medical procedures under the direction of healthcare professionals. EMTs collaborate with hospital staff to ensure efficient patient transport within the facility and to external medical facilities as needed. They maintain readiness of medical equipment, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and document patient information accurately. Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for success in this role
Qualifications
Technical Program Emergency Medical Technology
License/Registration
- Issued by Florida or Compact State And/Or Emergency Medical Technician
Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart
Association
(3) Three years’ experience in a clinical setting
