Lab Technician – Emergency Detention Facility – ($2,968/week) Critical Response Strategies Naples, FL 34114
Position Overview:
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Lab Technicians for rapid deployment to support medical operations at temporary correctional or shelter-based facilities in South Florida. These are W2 contract positions, contingent upon contract award, with housing and meals provided on-site . Lab Techs will assist with specimen collection, processing, and basic lab support in a secure and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, label, and process biological specimens Perform routine testing and prepare samples for external analysis Maintain accurate lab records and logs Ensure proper sanitation and biohazard handling protocols Maintain inventory of lab supplies and restock as needed Support healthcare staff in screening and diagnostic efforts Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times Operate under supervision of licensed medical staff Communicate clearly and professionally with team members
Assignment Details:
W2 Temporary Assignment (no benefits) Housing and meals included on base (no per diem or travel reimbursement) 84 hours/week – 12-hour shifts, 7 days/week
Rotational Schedule:
2-3 weeks on / 1 week off
Project Duration:
Up to 12 months
Qualifications:
Active Florida Lab Technician certification (if required) Minimum 1 year of recent lab or clinical support experience Must be able to pass a background check Able to deploy quickly with minimal notice Physically able to perform duties in demanding conditions Strong attention to detail and safety Proficient in English (spoken and written) Be part of a vital response team supporting public health in critical environments.
