The EMT will provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients in various settings, including pre-hospital environments and emergency rooms. This role requires a strong understanding of emergency procedures, patient assessment, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of anatomy and physiology, triage protocols, and medication administration. Responsibilities Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide immediate care to patients in critical situations. Perform patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses. Administer medications as per established protocols and guidelines. Utilize aseptic techniques during patient care to prevent infection. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in a Level I Trauma Center environment. Assist in the transportation of patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatments provided, and any changes in condition. Participate in continuous training and education to stay updated on best practices in emergency medical services. Requirements Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) from an accredited program. Strong knowledge of emergency room procedures and critical care protocols. Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) usage. Proficient understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to emergency care. Experience with triage processes and patient assessment techniques. Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
