Animal Hospital at Lakewood Ranch is looking for a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Part-Time Kennel Technician to join our dedicated team! As a Kennel Technician, you’ll play a key role in the care and comfort of our boarding and hospitalized pets. You’ll be hands-on with our furry guests—providing gentle care, support, and lots of tail wags. If you’re passionate about animal welfare and thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment, we’d love to meet you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Feeding, watering, and monitoring pets in our care Walking, bathing, and providing enrichment to dogs and cats Cleaning kennels and maintaining a safe, sanitary environment Observing and reporting any signs of illness or distress Supporting the medical team with patient care as needed Handling and restraining pets safely and compassionately Delivering excellent care with a smile (yes, we love laughter here!)
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working with animals (professional or volunteer) Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently Physically capable of lifting/moving pets and standing for long periods A team player who brings positive energy and professionalism A genuine love for animals and a desire to learn Willingness to work 1 weekend day per week & 3 holidays annually Clear background check and drug screening required
