Videos Duties Duties include, but are not limited to: Initie cardiac monitoring and admits/discharges pients from the monitoring system. Insert angiochs into peripheral arm veins and obtain blood for laborory tests according to policy and procedures. Document and report procedures appropriely in the medical record. Perform Urinary cheter insertions and irrigions according to policy and procedure and discontinues cheters when ordered. Assist in preparing pients designed for admission, including separing, securing, and inventorying clothing and personal valuables. Welcome and assist pients, their families, ors, and ambulance personnel upon arrival, directing them to the approprie trement areas. Accurely measuring and fitting crutches and providing verbal and written instructions for their proper use. Perform venipunctures to obtain serum blood samples according to the ED and laborory policy. Set up suction, and oxygen equipment, and demonstre the ability to identify the correct oxygen delivery device. Aid in specialized examinions and procedures by preparing pients, supplying necessary instruments to the physician.
