Behavorial Health Technician Miracles Recovery Center 584 NW University Boulevard, Port Saint Lucie, FL 34986 Miracles recovery center is looking for a Behavioral Health Technicians to join our team!
Starting pay:
$16-18/hr depending on experience Available shift : 6-8 hour shifts. Looking for part time, potentially fully time. Hours range 2pm-10pm (Monday-Friday). 7am-2pm (Monday-Friday). Weekends on call when needed (7am-3pm) Miracles Recovery Center offers individuals the opportunity to recover with dignity at our treatment center in Port Saint Lucie Florida. POSITION SUMMARY & PURPOSE
The Behavioral Health Technician ensures patient care within medical and clinical settings for PHP, IOP, and OP levels of care. The Behavioral Health Tech assists in the admission process, answers client questions and assists client in adjusting to the program routine. They are the liaison between the client and the staff to report any changes in the clients physical or mental condition and are responsible for supervising clients with emphasis on client safety and wellbeing. Facilitates treatment procedures included Urine drug screenings of clients Client transportation to and from group. Transportation coordination to transport clients to the store, group, and community meetings. Patient monitoring and supervision Communicates client needs to the clinical staff and housing coordinator. Demonstrate ability to work with patients and staff; approaching clients, families and staff in a respectful and caring manner. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and records. Communicate and problem solves via chain of command. Maintain flexibility and adaptability to expected and unexpected changes in the work environment. Demonstrate appropriate ability of competency and understanding on substance abuse and dual-diagnosis issues
EDUCATIONAL & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
The Behavioral Health Technician requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with: 1 year of relevant experience in a behavioral health setting Valid driver’s license and reliable form of transportation Exceptional display of verbal and written communication Ability to successfully pass a background check, drug screen (those with a criminal record are encouraged to apply).
