• Videos Duties The primary responsibility is for pient care, supporting diagnostic and trement procedures, pient charting and pient educion, which do not require a full professional audiology educion or knowledge and skills represented by audiology licensure.

Support functions include both direct pient care and administrive duties. In addition, the incumbent must be able to mentor and train new Health Technicians (Audiology). The incumbent for this position is considered a FLOAT Health Tech, and will have a primary duty stion the Daytona Beach Outpient Clinic, FL. The candide must be willing to be placed, detailed or temporarily assigned to any other locions in Audiology Service within the Corpore Orlando network of clinics, as needed. Under supervision, he/she responsible for providing hearing aid-reled care, speech aid if applicable, assistance to staff and pient educion, perform automed audiometry without interpretion, perform Store and Forward virtual audiology care without interpretion, and conduct VVC repair appointments. Direct pient care duties may include, but not limited to: Greeting and escorting pients Triaging pients to an audiologist based on complexity of the procedures being completed Pient instruction and counseling on hearing loss or hearing aids either on an individual basis or in a group setting Non-diagnostic otoscopy Taking earmold impressions Hearing aid troubleshooting and repair Providing basic hearing aid informion for pients and caregivers Performing listening checks on hearing aids Electroacoustic analysis of devices Pairing hearing aids and accessories via Bluetooth Technology Programming previously stored setting into hearing aids Activing remote controls Completing adjustments to hearing aid settings as outlined in Audiologist trement plan of care Ensuring timely and accure documention of all interactions in the medical records Training of employees and pients on personal hearing protection devices Perform VA Virtual Care Repair appointments Perform automed audiometry appointments without interpretion. Work Schedule :

Completion of one year of progressive experience and/or experience equivalent to the next lower grade level directly reled to the position being filled. (2) Demonstred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs). In addition to the experience above, the candide must demonstre the following

KSAs:

Ability to mentor and train new HTAs. Ability to prepare pients for advanced testing procedures performed by the audiologist, such as evoked potentials. Ability to develop and implement the technician role for a program in a focused area of audiology. (3) Assignment. For all assignments above the full performance level, the higher-level duties must consist of significant scope, administrive independence, complexity and range of variety as described in this standard the specified grade level and be performed by the incumbent least 25% of the time. The HTA this level works under supervision and direction of a licensed audiologist. Assignments associed with this position include, but are not limited to: completing adjustments to hearing aid settings as outlined in the audiologist’s plan of care, preparing pients for advanced diagnostic procedures such as evoked potentials and 11 collaboring with audiology team to develop training programs for pients and staff.
