Piedmont- ATHENS, GA Oncology Dept. Full time Nights 7pm-7am Sign on Bonus available $ The Oncology unit here at Piedmont Athens Regional is home to medical oncology, surgical oncology, comfort care and inpatient hospice patients. We are CoC accredited allowing multiple education opportunities for our team. We feel strongly that in doing this we are able to provide our patients with informed, oncology centered care. Our nurses are or become chemotherapy/biotherapy administration certified through ONS. We are proud to be able to administer as well as educate the patient and their support system about these medications. Our team strives to provide compassionate, high quality care to each patient we serve from admission to discharge. The Oncology unit provides nursing care to patients utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
RESPONSIBLE FOR
The Patient Care Tech, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy. •Patient ratios are determined by various factors, including volume and acuity of patient needs. Extenuating circumstances may determine a need for lower or higher ratios•
