Emergency Medical Technician Constant Healthcare, LLC Stockbridge, GA 30281 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our dynamic team. As an EMT, you will play a crucial role in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. You will work closely with paramedics, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care is delivered. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient assessment, and emergency medicine practices. Responsibilities Provide emergency medical care and transportation for patients in various situations, including accidents and medical emergencies. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses. Administer basic life support techniques and first aid as needed, including venipuncture when necessary. Safely transport patients to hospitals or Level II Trauma Centers while monitoring their condition throughout the journey. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in emergency rooms and hospital settings to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of care provided during transport. Operate emergency vehicles safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Assist in heavy lifting and moving of patients as required during transport or in emergency situations. Requirements Valid EMT certification from an accredited program. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and emergency medicine practices. Proven experience in patient care, preferably in an emergency room or similar environment. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during shifts. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential for operating emergency vehicles.
