out of 5 stars 8080 Bluebonnet Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70810 Primary Hours will be Monday-Friday 6:30a-3:00p Purpose The Case Tech provides supportive assistance to staff in the operating room. Responsibilities The Case Tech will assist in the maintenance and cleaning of the surgical environment to include operating rooms, infectious waste room, scrub sinks & mats, instrumentation and patient care devices; case techs will also remove regular and infectious waste and discard in proper location prior to leaving daily at the end of each shift The Case Tech may assist, under the direct supervision of the RN, in patient preps and positioning. Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience Desirable characteristics include at least two (2) years of experience in a hospital or medical environment as a case technician. Ability to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards independently. Ability to function effectively under stressful conditions. Required Certifications BLS (Basic Life Support)
