Special Education Tech II or III Position Available In Lincoln, Maine

Special Education Tech II or III Jefferson Village School 48 Washington Road, Jefferson, ME 04348 Job Summary Provide instruction to students with moderate to severe developmental disabilities including but not limited to autism and intellectual disabilities. There may be need for lifting or positioning students with physical disabilities. Assisting with toileting, personal hygiene routines and feeding may be required during the day. In emergency situations restraint may be necessary if a student is a threat to self or others. Training in Qualify Behavior Solutions Safety-Care will be provided if not already certified.

Education/Certification:

Valid Maine Ed Technician II or III certificate

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Experience with ABA and PECS Training in QBS Safety Care ( school will provide)

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Implement an instructional, therapeutic, or skill development program for assigned students and show written evidence of preparation as required. 2. Manage student behavior. This includes intervening in crisis situations and physically restraining students in emergency situation.

$18.35 – $24.00 per hour
