The Telehealth Clinic Technician (TCT) will play a vital role in managing telehealth services at the clinic, ensuring effective delivery of telehealth care to both enrolled and unassigned patients. This position involves coordinating telehealth setups, managing equipment, and facilitating communication between patients and telehealth providers.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate the setup and scheduling of telehealth clinics, ensuring all necessary equipment and resources are prepared. Manage telehealth equipment and maintain records required for quality control and performance improvement activities. Participate in VA or Network Telehealth Team calls to stay informed on telehealth processes and practices. Convey clinically appropriate in-person interactions or onsite observations to the telehealth provider, aiding in patient care. Gather and transmit telehealth images, sounds, data, and other supporting information to assigned VA providers or reading centers within established timelines. Educate patients about telehealth technology, reviewing acquired data or images, photos, and providing VA-approved informational handouts. Offer basic telehealth education related to imaging processes and expected results, and provide education pertinent to the patient’s condition as requested by the telehealth provider. Communicate regularly with the Facility Telehealth Coordinator to address process issues, equipment needs, data collection, and other logistical matters.
