The Health Care Technician I position provides direct patient care by managing the milieu on the unit through close observation and interaction with the patients. The Health Care Technician I provides support to the patients working toward the goals and objectives of their treatment.
Job responsibilities include the following:
Fostering a therapeutic environment and assist with activities of daily living.
Assist in monitoring medical, emotional, behavioral or social problems and providing that information to the Registered Nurse.
Assist the Registered Nurse with initial intakes/interviews with patients.
Ensures patient areas are kept clean and supplies stocked.
Transporting patients to medical appointments off campus.
Positions will be typically scheduled 6:45 am – 7:15 pm on a two-week rotating 48/36 schedule.

Greenville, NC:
(1) Woodside Treatment Center and (2) Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital. The primary purpose and mission of the Walter B. Jones Center is “To provide inpatient treatment, psychiatric stabilization and medical detoxification for individuals with mental health, substance use and other co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses for ongoing community based treatment and recovery”. The Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and /. Two specialty programs are offered to all 100
NC Counties:
(1) Inpatient Treatment for adults and (2) Inpatient Services for women in their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters with substance use disorders.
