PCT (Patient Care Technician) Camden Coalition 1505 West Sherman Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08360 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, whether in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center, operating room (OR), or other healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and patient service, demonstrating the ability to support patients with critical care needs while ensuring their comfort and safety. Responsibilities Assist nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient care, including monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes. Provide direct patient support, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance. Maintain accurate medical documentation and records for each patient interaction. Support patients during procedures in the OR and assist with post-operative care as needed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed. Uphold hygiene standards by cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas. Engage with patients to provide emotional support and comfort during their stay. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in basic life support and critical care techniques. Requirements Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role preferred. Familiarity with medical documentation practices is highly desirable. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications in critical care are a plus. Experience working in nursing homes or home care settings is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
