The EMT will be responsible for providing high-quality emergency medical care to patients in various settings, including pre-hospital environments and during transport to medical facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in critical situations. Duties Perform physical examinations and assess patients’ conditions to determine the necessary course of action. Administer medications as per protocols and guidelines while ensuring patient safety. Provide emergency medical treatment and life support measures as required in critical care situations. Monitor vital signs and document changes in patient status during transport or in emergency settings. Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection during patient care procedures. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses and physicians, in emergency rooms and trauma centers. Assist in the stabilization of patients before they reach a hospital or Level I Trauma Center. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices in emergency medicine. Requirements NJ, NY, PA, DE or NREMT Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic certification Valid Drivers License Knowledge of emergency medicine practices, including critical care protocols. Experience working in hospital settings or emergency rooms is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to perform physical examinations and assess patient needs effectively. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Capacity to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure during emergencies. Familiarity with vital signs monitoring equipment and medication administration procedures. Commitment to providing compassionate patient care while adhering to safety protocols.
