Licensed Practical Nurse:

The LPN/TCT is assigned to the Ambulory Care Section of the VANJ Health Care System and assigned throughout each Medical Center and/or CBOC. The incumbent provides a wide range of clinical and technical services to the veteran th demonstres complex technical judgment under the general supervision of a registered nurse or MD.

Including but not limited to:

Demonstre nursing practice with remote supervision of a registered nurse or physician .Administer medicion accurely and promptly under the general supervision of a registered nurse. Demonstres understanding of the effects and/or reactions caused by medicions, trements, and procedures. Record and report observions. Demonstres the ability to assist RN and/or MD/DO to appropriely prioritize overall pient care needs and adjust plans for care delivery. Makes astute observions of subtle, less obvious changes, both physical and emotional, in pient’s condition, and accurely and thoroughly documents care delivered and pient’s response to care th could require immedie modificion of the pient’s care plan. Appropriely seeks assistance and guidance by informing RN or MD/DO of changes in pient’s condition requiring higher-level intervention. At this grade level, the LPN/LVN is expected to participe to a greer degree in prioritizing, and, as approprie, modifying pient care trement.
