The centers are open seven days a week: Monday through Friday, 8a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 6p.m. Please note, our Conway – Oak Street location’s weekend hoursare Saturday and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Additionally, allBaptist Health Urgent Care centers are Accredited Care Centers – adesignation from the Urgent Care Association which recognizes thecompany’s commitment to safety, quality, and scope of services.

JOBSUMMARY

This position will perform x-ray testing including bodymechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy andphysiology. Operates diagnostic equipment, develops film andprepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for theprocedure, as well as perform Medical Assistant duties. Full-timeteam members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consistingof 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (perdiem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.

KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and responsibilitiesgenerally reflect the expectations of this position but are notintended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.

• Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, andlaboratory or x-ray room
• Consistently communicates with patientson wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatmentprocess
• Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes andseeks help in emergent/hazardous situations
• Executes follow-upcalls with a sense of urgency
• Assist front desk personnel withpatient check in/out procedures when necessary
• Obtains andaccurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes briefhistory, past medical, family and social history currentmedications, allergies and other pertinent historical informationas appropriate
• Assists with patient transfers
• Assists withprocedures directly supervised by the provider
• Followsdocumentation procedures and completes required documentationrelated to patient visit.
• Performs timely radiology proceduresfor subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
• Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure qualityexams are performed
• Prepares patients for radiologic proceduresand follows established clinical and regulatory procedures inregards to patient safety and care; including proper radiationprotection and shielding techniques.
• Ensures that equipment is inproper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Manager orprovider on duty.
• Follows documentation procedures and completesrequired documentation related to patient visit.
• Assumesresponsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imagingknowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outsideeducational resources
• Responsible for maintaining currentlicensure and certification for the facility radiology equipmentand licensure

WHAT’S REQUIRED?

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification
• AR State X-Ray License
• ARRT Certificationpreferred
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
