Facility in Scranton, Pennsylvania Job Details Fusion MedicalStaffing is seeking a skilled OB Tech for a 13-week travelassignment in Scranton, Pennsylvania. RequiredQualifications:

One year of recent experience as an OB Tech Validstate license, certification, or registration in compliance withstate regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

PreferredQualifications:

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalentcertification Other certifications and licenses may be required forthis position

Summary:

OB Techs work under the supervision anddelegatory authority of obstetricians and labor and delivery nursesto facilitate safe and effective obstetrical procedures. Theyensure that the labor and delivery environment is safe and thatequipment functions properly, assisting with childbirth and relatedinterventions while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughoutthe process.

Essential Work Functions:

Prepares and maintains thelabor and delivery room, ensuring cleanliness, proper equipmentsetup, and readiness for obstetrical procedures Stocks andorganizes obstetrical supplies and ensures all related equipment isfunctional and available Assists in preparing patients for labor,delivery, and postpartum care within scope of practice Transportspatients to and from the labor and delivery unit as needed Assistsobstetricians and nurses during deliveries and obstetricalprocedures, including C-sections and emergency interventions, bypassing instruments, maintaining sterility, and providing necessarysupport Supports patient care by collaborating with health teammembers to ensure seamless workflow and patient safety Ensuresproper cleaning and sterilization of instruments, surfaces, andother supplies and equipment to maintain infection controlstandards Performs other duties as assigned within the scope ofpractice Adheres to hospital safety protocols, infection controlguidelines, and regulatory standards

Required Essential Skills:

Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonalcommunication skills The ability to read, write, and communicate inthe English language Ability to read/comprehend writteninstructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PCskills Physical Abilities

• Must be able to remain in a stationaryposition, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, andbend Interpersonal Skills
• Must be able to work effectively with avariety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present apositive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills
• Musthave the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull,and move about when assisting with procedures and/or usingdepartment equipment Mental Requirements
• Must be able to copewith frequent contact with the general public and customers whilemeeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under closesupervision occasionally, as well as working without assistancefrom other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregularactivity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration todetail Sensory
