Certified Caregiver/Med Tech Quality Care 107 Etling Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with a focus on assisting individuals in various settings, including assisted living, hospice care, and home community care. The Medical Technician will be responsible for performing essential clinical tasks while ensuring the highest standards of patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities Conduct routine assessments of patients, including taking vital signs and documenting health information accurately. Provide direct patient care, including catheter care and assistance with daily living activities. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Utilize electronic health record systems such as Cerner to maintain accurate patient records and facilitate effective communication among team members. Offer support to patients with dementia or other cognitive impairments, ensuring their comfort and dignity. Assist in the training of new staff members on best practices in patient care and safety protocols. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Experience Previous experience in assisted living, home care, or hospice settings is preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential. Familiarity with vital sign monitoring techniques and equipment. Experience providing care for patients with dementia or related conditions is a plus. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Cerner, is highly desirable.
