Spray Technician Responsibilities:
Plant and maintain plants. ex) Remove weeds, fertilize, water plants, shrubs, and trees Requires use of hand tools and gardening tools Harvest plants, and transplant or pot them with proper labels Monitor and record the plants’ leaf coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease Operate tractors, other machinery, and fertilizing equipment Cultivate, harvest, and spray fields and plants Inspect plants to assess quality Dig, cut, and transplant seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs Move containerized shrubs, plants, and trees, using wheelbarrows or tractors Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, peat moss, and other materials to condition soil, using wheelbarrows or carts and shovels Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control system Responsible and safe application of both granular and liquid fertilizer, herbicides, and pesticides in adherence to all local and state regulations Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Plant Healthcare Technician / Spray Tech Requirements Minimum 1 year experience with chemical or spray applications or 4 or more years’ experience in the green industry Strong attention to detail Pesticide applicators license or in process Valid driver’s license Adhere to Company’s safety policy and ensure that the public and co-workers will be safe while performing job duties.
