JobSummaryAssesses, transports and administers basic and advanced lifesupport treatment to ill and injured persons in accordance withdepartment, system and South Carolina DHEC policies, procedures andstandards.

Be the difference. Verify Operational Readiness of Vehicles and Equipment. Maintain Cleanliness of MCAS Vehicles. Respond Promptly to Calls Received from the DispatchCenter. Operate MCAS Vehicles in a Safe, Courteous and EfficientManner. Assess, Monitor, Transport and Provide Necessary MedicalTreatment. Prepare Written Documentation in a Complete, Timely andAccurate Manner. Attends Staff Meetings/Complies with Employee HealthRequirements/CompletesMandatoryEmployee TrainingPrograms.
Supervisory/Management ResponsibilitiesThis is anon-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager,director or executive.
Minimum Requirements Education
- High School diploma or equivalent OR post-highschool diploma/highest degree earned Experience
- Completion of Approved EMT or EMT
- IntermediateTraining Program.
Pre-Hospital Care Experience preferredIn LieuOfIn lieu of a SC Driver’s License, a valid driver’s license, froma state other than South Carolina, may be accepted if primaryresidence is not SC. The required active South Carolina ANDNational Registry EMS certification meets the educationalrequirements for this role.
Required Certifications, Registrations,Licenses SC Driver’s License:
Valid driver’s license and an acceptablefive-year motor vehicle record as defined by the Acceptable MotorVehicle Record (MVR) Chart. SC Emergency Medical Technician (SCEMT) National Registry of Emergency Technicians (NREMT) Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)Knowledge, Skills andAbilities Ability to demonstrate skill proficiency on an annualbasis. Ability to maintains Professional Certifications by AttendingIn-service Training Programs.
